Re: Nurgle vs. Necromantic

I agree both teams are especially good at def, but I think NURG takes it in that regard. Nurg can shut basically ANY team's offense down -- a strong team (counter with str and str access; and FA), a tough team ( 9 AV countered with claw); and a passing game (DP); and only may run into trouble, if th...

Re: Nurgle vs. Necromantic

The one math course I took in college spent a solid month on probabilities, etc., 15 years ago, I would have been all over solving that case (I think it was called: "1st year Math for poets"). Thanks for the math refresher, Dode. But, seriously, 8 in a row in any game is quite, quite rare, indeed! -...

So sry coach TERAILEUS

We played a fun (and somewhatbloody) game; you were winning and, on my turn 16 with you left to play your turn 16, the game was all but finished, 2-0 for you. I typed Good game, sir (or ma'am??) and then my computer promtly crashed! I am sure it looked like I was being a poor sport, but, honestly, m...

Re: A possible solution for some problems: the priest

Insurance policy! lol love the general idea, very good potential. Try to develop it some more? RE: Dode's above point that my "priest" idea might simply help the bashy team, but not help the the agility team enough to make much of a difference. My thinking was that this *might* be the result (and th...

Re: A possible solution for some problems: the priest

Prove their is a problem: Well, I refer to both the "MB thread" and the "claw" thread. Some of the issues: 1) people complain about a lack of variety of team choices in MM (an emphasis on people playing 8 and esp. 9 AV teams in an MM setting) 2) people who (over?)care about "building" a team and don...

A possible solution for some problems: the priest

Here is my idea: Allow teams in MM to hire a 50? 100? tv "priest" on their roster. At the end of the match and only at the end of the match a priest may attempt to call on his or her divine powers to either raise the dead or heal a permanent injury. To try to raise the dead for one player who died o...

Re: HELP!! doubles on a brand new Nurgle warrior

On a NW a double that is really good and I have not seen much of:

Side step!

A 4 str block guard sidestep is awesome.

But, all of that said, for a first skill -- block, block, block (and MAYBE guard).

Re: How to fix Mighty Blow?

Dode wrote: "House rules" are used for those games, and house rules should be used for BB MM. If that's what we're saying then I agree with it, and what we need is something to alter the ability of certain teams to hit hard, and the tendency of other teams to be hit hard, but without too much altera...

Re: CW level up question

Break tackle followed by tentacles followed by MB or Guard or SF.

This guy is a BEAST at popping that ball loose... 2/3 of the time he will get a re roll on the 2 dice POP! on the BC if u so desire.

Re: Is bash too powerful? aka "The Claw Thread"

A quick (and hopefully helpful) comment to aid in clarity (from a philosopher): I think one of the sources of confusion is that the definition of "powerful" (i.e., in the thread title) is up for grabs. Does "powerful" mean -- 1) powerful in the sense that the claw skill makes teams too 'killy', too ...
