Re: Short league: wood elf thrower or wait for third re-roll

I'd wait and buy the 3rd rr.
Don't pass unless it's absolutely necessary.

Re: Skill advice from succesful Bret coaches?

change their name to "Wrestler" instead of "Blocker" just to be honest. I m with you on that one . Blocker is very ironic as a name That being said one use that most people miss is to take down big guys . You use wrestle with support to take down an st5 /st4 and you let the other guys stomp them . ...

Re: Skill advice from succesful Bret coaches?

While true in theory, I find you're much more likely to face block and piling on (against which wrestle and fend are good) than you are to find juggernaut (against which wrestle and fend are bad). In theory, this should make Brets decent at high TV, if it weren't for... everything else. =) I didn't...

Re: Skill advice from succesful Bret coaches?

One thing about getting 1-diced though: You don't have to use it (at least not in TT), so you can force the turnover if you want on a both down. (As I'm sure you know) Sure, but in my experience it's not so uncommon being 1-d blocked as last action(s) of my opponent's turn, because at that point of...

Re: Skill advice from succesful Bret coaches?

Block is much superior to wrestle at low TV when a lot of players don't have block. But at higher TV when you're facing an Dwarf side that has block and stand firm on everything, wrestle can be very important in being able to open a hole to run through. With Undead I pretty much take block on all z...

Re: Dwarves

When you have Stand Firm and Guard on all your dwarfs they become very problematic to deal with unless you are up against an Elf or Skaven.
Or you are vs a Chaos or Nurgle team at high TV.

Re: Pilon On Fix

If you roll doubles when PO then you are stunned, or something similar.
I'd make the PO player automatically stunned whenever he uses the skill, that would make PO more tactical.
Another little nerf would be giving a free bribe to the team of the player who suffered the PO.

In fact, you should go to the thread that says Rules...that thread shows all of the new rules that are implemented in BB2 that are not compliant with CRP or LRB.
The BB2 rule changes can be found here: http://www.bloodbowl-game.com/files/RulebookBB2.pdf

Re: Orc Blitzers

If you whine about Orc Blitzers then whine about Human Blitzers too.
The Ogre should cost 120, he has Loner, no regular access to General Skills and Bone-Head.
The AV 8 on Catchers is not a great buff, Catchers should be 0-2 and have ST 3.
