If the base game is free and they don't charge too much for dlc teams, then this could be great. Hopefully it doesn't come full of all the same bugs we've gotten used to in BB1 (and some new ones too)... Also it would be great if the devs actually listen to the community feedback this time and do so...

If the game wasn't random then you wouldn't ever get periodically "hosed" by the dice! Also perceptual bias, as always, tends to bloat things a tad out of proportion! ;)

Yeah, also bear in mind that the BB ball has spikes on it! So it makes sense that ball handling and passing is more difficult than in real life equivalent games! ;)

The intent of the game design was never for every match-up to be balanced. The idea behind the Tier 2 and Tier 3 teams was that they offered a challenge for an experienced coach. In a MM format it seems to me the best teams are the ones that have the "weakness" of not starting with any skills but really good stats.
