FUMBBL ALLSTAR Wood Elf Team / Value to Rating analysis

Postby Force » 13 June 2013, 16:26

I had some time to burn.
So I picked all the highest ranked active FUMMBL ranked Wood Elf Star Players and added their cost, value, and rating.

COST is the cost to buy a player.
VALUE is the players Team Value.
RATING is the players Team Value minus his injuries.

So using the "Free Fan Factor" optional league rule I came up with these numbers:
  • COST VALUE RATING
    Team: 1.390 3.650 3.390

    8 Rerolls: 400
    1 Apothecary: 50
    10 Cheerleaders: 100
    10 Assistant Coaches: 100

    2.040 4.300 4.040
That means it takes 2.040.000 GP to buy all of this (excluding the tax for extra rerolls)
The Teams Value that is used for matchmaking is 4.300.000 GP
The actual power this team has when rating it considering the players injuries is 4.040.000 GP

So if I play these guys using totally beaten up TV 0 (zero) Humans, i get 4.300K worth of inducement money, while the rating i have to reach to somehow match these guys is only 4.040K. Now next thing i want to look at is how much power i can actually buy for 4.300K.

Ranked teams are not natural teams, they can avoid bad match ups.
Check the Black Box division if you want to see a "real" Wood Elf team.

That's your opinion, Matt. R teams are perfectly legitimate, and in the eyes of the FUMBBL hierarchy too.

The possibility of dodging bad match ups creates unreal teams, that's a matter of fact, not an opinion.

You are right.
I have to do it all again looking at the top black box Wood elf Players.
Quite frankly, i was kinda surprised how bad the skill choices were for most of these ranked Stars (+AG, +AG, Linemen...)

The requirement to have to play everyone in a TV-matched environment creates unreal teams as well. That's just as much as matter of fact.

Less unreal than the Ranked teams for sure.
