Slann - yes (GW just used the old WFB Slann figures [before they got fat]).

Underworld - Yes (they're just goblins and Skaven)

Pact - yeeeessssss - sort of. Some of the old BB figs (like Morg) were All-Stars players (Jervis wanted to play the All-Stars, hence why the pact roster was added), the others were made for the Chaos Cup in the US using old Phil Lewis greens (can be seen here: http://www.impactminiatures.com/index.p ... =oopimpact). These figures, though officially allowed in GW events, were never actually sold by GW though.

Not sure on all the Stars though - many of them are from the older BB ranges, which often had figures for the contemporary WFB range added, often with little or no changes (for example, the Wilhem Chaney BB figure was a slightly changed figure from the WFB Night Horror range).

Cyanide, create BB2 with decent AI and I'll throw money at you AND buy all the expansions you bring out for it. Couldn't honestly care less about new graphics or Jim and Bob; you could add photo-realistic dark elf cheerleaders and I still wouldn't buy it if the single player game wasn't an improvement on the current version.

But when is Blood Bowl 2 set to be released? Does anyone know? Around Xmas sometime maybe?

BloodSkull wrote:The problem I have with this is that Slann was allegedly disallowed by GW because Slann did not fit the fluff of the GW Slann race. Now GW has allowed the Daemons of Khorne team that is completely void of fluff based on all of the GW Daemon materials. The team seems to be only "play tested" for a short amount of time, but the Slann team which has been play test by the NAF and endorsed to be added to the game since 2007 gets axed over fluff issues.

I think the issue was that Space Frog Slann don't match the current WHFB fat toad lizard slann. However the BB world in 2nd edition had a lot of differences from the warhammer world, but they did bring it closer in 3rd edition.

Sadly GW don't care about specialist games at all so anything that could detract from the WHFB IP is a no go. The Khorne team were taken straight from existing warhammer fluff (well maybe not pit fighters) and they have always been the most popular chaos god.
The RNG is not broken, you are not "the unluckiest coach in the world" and the computer does not cheat, you just suck.

Too bad they are not the ultraviolent BB team they should be.

Totally. All I'm really looking for is a better matchmaking system that discourages min/maxing, or at least alternative systems for different leagues, and better single player A.I. Add in Chaos Pact and Slann and I think you'd have a great value proposition for long time Blood Bowl fans. Lastly, make a way to resume games when disconnections happen. That's all you really need for a great sequel.

Hey there,

If there is no news, it simply means the developer team feel like it is not time to show the game yet. We know it's hard to wait, and we share your excitement. That is why we take the time needed to meet your expectations.

I go across the BB2 area of the open space from time to time and I can say it's looking great ;)

There will be some news soon though, be patient. Things are taking shape !
