Guide for newcomers: which BB edition should you pick?

Postby Saint Scylla » 22 August 2014, 21:25

Hello fellow coaches!

I've built a comparative guide for the new players hesitating between the different versions of the game (DEE, LE, CE and upcoming BB2).

Let me know if you see anything wrong or missing, by posting either here or in the guide's comments. Rate it up if you enjoy it. Thanks for your contribution!

I don't think DE is compatible with LE/CE, and I think it no longer has Multi-player access.

And a preview said the 8 races in BB2 were: Human, Orcs, High Elfs, Dark Elfs, Dwarf, Chaos, Skaven and Brettonian.

Nope, I was talking about a 0TTD on a Blitz! using TTM.

Yup, DE is offline as the server no longer works for it and was never compatible beyond sharing the same chat lobby.

Thanks, I've edited the Features part.

Interesting! Is it available online or was it a magazine?

Online - iirc for a French website. The link was on here, but I couldn't find it when I looked earlier.

Found it, it's an interview of the Lead Game Designer by Game Debate in English, only later translated to French by another website.

I'm updating the guide.

DE and LE both come up as internal server error 4.. I'm nervous about investing more money on BB 2 and it not working either...

I would mention that you can very frequently pick up CE for about £5 in the Steam sales. And I don't understand why you would buy LE instead of CE?
