Level 6 Ghoul Level Up advice

Postby CyberPope » 21 October 2011, 18:55

Ok, I managed to get a Ghoul to level 6 and having a hard time figuring out what to take.

Its a bash heavy league. So not a lot of airing the ball. (2 other Undead, Lizards, Nurgle, 2 Darkelves, Khemri, Chaos)

Ghoul's Current Skills
+1 ST
Block
Dodge
Sidestep
Fend

Since he has so far to go to next level he will probably not carry the ball much so my initial thought is tackle.

My other Ghouls:
1) Surehands, Block, Kick off return
2) Diving Tackle, Side Step, Block
3) Wrestle, Tackle, +ST

My Mummies
1) Break tackle, Guard, Grab
2) Break tackle, Guard

My Wights
1) MB, tackle, guard
2) virgin

have a zombie with block and dauntless, another with just block and a skeleton with block and some virgin zombie fodder.

No one on the team has any permanent injuries (and that my friends is how you tempt nuffle to stick it to you)

Any advice is most welcome

Consider Frenzy, he has Sidestep and St 4. ;)
Very useful to attack/defend on the widezones.
And Frenzy acts like Tackle when you need to stop a Blodger (because you roll twice the block dice, increasing the chance of a defender down result).
And If you manage to push out of the pitch a blodger it's even better!
Moreover, you already have enough tacklers, in my opinion, so Frenzy would add another dimension to your team, in my opinion.

Tackle or Frenzy are both good choices.

tackle, frenzy can put him in dangerous situation at times.

I'd considered Frenzy but he's such an expensive piece that I'd hate for him to get next to something ugly due to the second block or always having to follow. I've been wanting Frenzy on the team but it was meant to go on a wight... that is now dead... hence the virgin.

He has Blodge, Sidestep, Fend, St 4, not so defenceless on its own, and the benefit of a potential crowdsurf compensates the Frenzy risk, in my opinion.
You can plan quite well where to push back the opponent player, setting up other blocks for team mates in order to keep the Ghoul safe, out of contact.

Do you want to use your player at his full potential?
It's better to risk something and using a player at his best than to keep him ever hiding somewhere, thus bloating the TV for no benefit.

With the races in my league 4ST is not as amazing as I'd like it to be.
