Era 4 of the OFL Franchise League has kicked off with season 10! This era sees the return of several franchises from the league's inaugural season, including the Oblivion Knights and the Stout Lagerhead AllStars, the league's first Halfling and Underworld franchises, and new Chaos Pact and Circus (Slann) teams.

Check out Blood Blotter issue #29 for a recap of the recent race draft and a preview of the upcoming season, and discuss league events on our community forums at http://oldworldfootball.com/

Congratulations to our Season 9 playoff teams and to Damek's Green Spades who close out Era 3 as franchise champion.

An excerpt from the latest Blood Blotter:

WFC North

COOLSWAMP BOGCROCS
(13-1-2)

The Bogcrocs were expected to perform well, but no one thought they would have the best record in the league. With the exception of one rookie, their front line is very formidable. Unless one of the rookies develops into something special, expect to see an increase in Underfoot’s offensive production. The rest of the Skinks are defensive-minded. They won’t surprise anyone this season, but there’s no reason they can’t repeat last season’s success.

SOUP TO NUTS (7-6-3)

The most successful of the Chaos Pact teams should be even better this season. The team’s overall talent level has been increased dramatically by the Tem Fluffer brought in over the off-season. They have a diverse group of skilled Marauders led by the freak Gold Raiders.

THE CIRCUS (2-4-10)

These guys stink. Literally. They smell like a pair of Rebel Wilson’s used underpants. Seriously guys. Soap. Fans of The Circus have reason to be optimistic heading into this season. The team has a solid core of players to build upon. Frank N Beans and Boss Hogg have great potential, and they have recently signed an excellent free agent Beast of Nurgel, Belaz the Slothful.

HOOD RATS (6-3-7)

The Rats step in to replace The Hussies. They enter this season without a Rat Ogre, and minus a Storm Vermin. This team, like most Skaven teams, is built around its Gutter Runners – Solja Slim and BG are about as good as it gets.

The Favorite:
Coolswamp Bogcrocs. They could actually be better than last season.

Personal opinion: this is excellent, and the way BB was meant to be played.
