What is a bug?

Postby dode74 » 08 September 2015, 18:19

Can we please get the definition of what a bug is, please? For example, is the Human Catcher at AV8 a bug? Or the Orc Blitzer at 90k? How about the Human Ogre at 130k? Are you looking for only technical issues or gameplay issues as well? What is the standard to which we will determine what a bug is and is not? In short, what are the correct rules?

Also can we have a list off known issues? So we don't report them twice (and have an overview about the state of the game)?

I am guessing there won't be any answers until the morning? If it were me I would have launched and then had people around to answer questions.

To my mind a bug is a flaw that affects the game running. Incorrect stat values, or typos in text I'd class as errors instead of bugs, same as all the mistakes currently in the online guide that need fixing (but which aren't causing crashes or affecting gameplay).

It would be handy to have some kind of "changes made from CRP" document though.

Possibly, but we need to know what it is they want to know in order to be able to report effectively.

Nope, I was talking about a 0TTD on a Blitz! using TTM.

You can't blitz if you are in a tacle zone... Maybe your ogre was in the front line ?

We're classifying feedbacks in 3 categories:
- User Bug
- Game Bug
- Game improvement

The first 2 (user & game bugs) are for the Multiplayer Beta Technical forum.
The game improvement (personal feedbacks on UI, rules...) are for the Ideas and Suggestions forum.

That still doesn't answer the question asked in the first post of this topic. It just tells us where to post, which isn't overly helpful.
