What team for long-term? Advice wanted

Postby Dalthius » 29 October 2011, 15:05

I'm coming back to the game after a long hiatus and am fairly overwhelmed by the options presented in the Legendary Edition. Maybe my new BB comrades can offer some advice.

I'm looking for a long-term single player campaign, with interest in eventually trying multiplayer. I like being very hands on with player development, with lots of options for customization. I really enjoy building players for specific roles (strong catcher, another a stroganoff blocker), it makes it feel like a true team. Of course, I do like to develop secondary skills in my players, but I like the task-specific approach. I don't necessarily prefer a passing game over a running game, but I do think passing is more fun...and of course brutalizing the other team is always a blast. At any rate, my problem is I no longer know which team(s) lend themselves to my play style, and thought maybe some of y'all could offer a suggestion? I use to bounce between human and chaos, and I do enjoy the "darker" style of play (undead, etc) but I'm more than willing to try something new in order to find that "perfect" play experience.

Thanks in advance!

If you were out for a long time (I was the same way a year ago) you might try Necromantic. It's got that dark flavor, lots of building options with the different player types and you've probably never played them. I did this and had a blast before settling in with Nurgle. Managarn brainwashed me into it after a while (jking  ).

I personaly would go for Dark Elves.....

Evil players, who can equally run, pass and bash the living hell out of the opponents...

+ access to all stats except mutations...

Lots of opportunities there...

Chaos or Nurgle.
They are the two strongest teams at high TV, because they can access to the no brain combo Might Blow, Claw, Piling On.

Lol I'm guessing Claws is the skill to have these days.

I'm torn between DE, Chaos (my old team), and Necromantic. Part of me even wants to try my hand at humans again.

Anything will do - that AI is appalling.

Open or structured league?

On that basis I'd suggest humans, undead or orcs.

Claw is the skill to have if you anticipate playing against an absurdly high number of Dorf, Orc, Chaos, Lizardman or Nurgle teams.
